New Mexico Highlands University, a Hispanic-serving institution in northern New Mexico, takes pride in being active in the public schools to prepare students for the university. The presentation will examine the attributes of a successful student management system that acts as a basis for a data warehouse of student performance. Students in grades 6–12 and college freshman are placed, tracked, and tutored. By using this technology in rural New Mexico, we are enabling NMHU students to become successful in traditional gatekeeper courses.
