This discussion will focus on how the e-mail administrator can effectively manage e-mail resources to meet the different needs of each user class in a typical educational environment by using Class of Service. Using a single e-mail system, the administrator can divide resources between faculty, staff, students, and administrators. Class of Service regulates access to POP, IMAP, Webmail, group calendaring, quota, auto reply, forward, wireless access, A/V scanning, A/S scanning, and other messaging features.
