With almost 40, 000 students, faculty, and staff counting on the message network at Cal State Northridge, it is imperative that we fortify it but keep it running, without giving up functionality. This presentation will discuss our standards-based, mixed-platform solution designed to keep malicious code from entering the campus and what is still needed in the industry to strengthen these solutions.
