Teaching Technology Entrepreneurship through Community Service

Tuesday, April 26 | 9:30PM–9:30PM
Session Type: Resources
A multi-sector partnership has built a successful interdisciplinary, community-engaged undergraduate program. Students develop prototypes of relevant health-related mobile applications. Students then develop business plans for socially beneficial, for-profit ventures and use those plans as a basis for generating resources to implement and enhance the prototypes. Evaluations show student gains in civic engagement and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
