Using Wireless PocketPCs in Survey Courses to Expand Discourse

Monday, January 24, 2005 | 2:30PM–3:30PM | Pelican I Room
Session Type: Professional Development
We are experimenting in earth systems classes at the University of Michigan with interactive challenges using wireless PocketPCs. Students respond to questions on the PocketPCs and initial responses are projected, followed by a discussion seeking consensus on the best answer. This approach offers new opportunities to improve learning through peer and interactive instruction.
