Buy, Build, and Borrow: Planning for Support in the New Open Environment

Monday, August 08, 2005 | 2:00PM–3:30PM | Max Park Room (Wildwood Lodge)
Session Type: Professional Development
Institutions are increasingly creating a portfolio of technology tools that are purchased, developed internally, or adopted from work done at other institutions. A hybrid model of system deployment offers the opportunity to rethink the application support strategy using vendor support on an application by application basis, RedHat-like support across many applications, and internal expertise. This discussion session will focus on strategies used for IT support in a hybrid environment.
