Birds of a Feather: What Are the Boundaries You're Trying to Cross?

Tuesday, February 07, 2006 | 9:00AM–9:00AM
Session Type: Resources

This session is the first of a two-part discussion birds-of-a-feather designed to offer attendees a chance to discuss the boundaries their institutions are trying to cross, identify the challenges, and propose strategies to address them.

The boundary discussion groups include:

  • institutions partnering with a business to offer services, such as allowing library patrons to access a vendor database.
  • institutions collaborating within a state higher-education system.
  • main campus sharing constituents with an affiliated professional school.
  • institutions offering services to unaffiliated individuals, such as parents

This particular discussion session will focus on the challenges experienced in the above contexts. Groups should pick someone to report back at the beginning of the next presentation.
