The library at Montclair State University has initiated a grid to enable full interactive collaboration among departments and institutions using multiple machines on a fast network. The grid is transparent to users, giving the impression of a single virtual computer that allows for the sharing of resources and the optimal use of computing capabilities wherever they may be.
