Open Source and Open Content Around the Country and Around the World

Wednesday, April 26 | 8:00AM–8:00AM
Session Type: Resources
Over the past few years, nearly two dozens states and countries have launched projects to move away from proprietary software for their own use for distributing information to the public. At the same time, we’ve seen bills introduced in legislatures that would limit the free distribution of government-gathered data in order to encourage commercial exploitation of that same data. This session will explore recent activities and future trends in the area of open source and open content.
