Net neutrality has become one of the most hotly debated topics in the telecommunications reform package before Congress. The assurance that networks will remain open to all legal content and applications for both consumers and providers is seen as key to maintaining the Internet as we know it. Yet, network operators, who make the investment in the underlying infrastructure, feel they should be able to operate their networks without "unnecessary" government mandates. This panel will present the viewpoint of both side and offer the audience a glimpse at what is actually happening in Congress.
