Document imaging is a growing trend in higher education administrative offices. Most colleges and universities buy systems developed for the corporate world that do not suit the particular needs of higher education. The College of Charleston developed an in-house document management system that goes beyond the typical scanning features of a storage-and-retrieval software packages.
