Terrorists, Hurricanes, and Earthquakes: Disaster Planning and Recovery

Monday, February 06, 2006 | 9:00AM–9:00AM
Session Type: Resources
It's the end of the world as we know it...but at least your Web site is running. What are the higher education and networking communities doing to ensure their vital communication and networking needs are maintained in the wake of a natural disaster or terrorist attack? Your colleagues will share how their organizations are building and redesigning IT networks with disaster preparedness in mind, and how one city government is working to ensure emergency responders’ communications needs are maintained. Attendees are encouraged to share their experiences and potential remedies with colleagues.
