Increasingly, campus IT leaders are finding themselves in the middle of difficult ethical dilemmas. Core concepts of privacy, security, and freedom of expression for faculty, administrators, and students have become central to IT policies. In addition, fostering an environment that values academic and personal integrity can no longer be done without IT's involvement. Participants will discuss e-mail practices and security, access controls on the campus network and Internet, plagiarism protection software, copyright policies with new media, course material protection, and other issues.
