Federal IT Policy: Higher Education and the New Congress
Monday, February 05, 2007 | 5:00PM–6:00PM | Palm A/D
Session Type:
Professional Development
IT policy issues, once the province of campus IT leaders, now demand an increasing share of attention across the entire campus executive leadership. As IT becomes a critical, core service of campus operations and a central feature of strategic plans, it must rise to the level of boardroom discussions. Hear how the American Council on Education, EDUCAUSE, and other higher education associations collaboratively create and share a "higher education position" on pressing issues such as network neutrality, CALEA, and P2P file sharing with campus and government leaders. This session will also include a preview of the 2007 Congress and expected legislation.
