Session Type: Professional Development
As we expand our services, especially outside our institutions through vendors and other partners, how do we ensure continued compliance with FERPA and other privacy laws? In this session, an attorney with extensive knowledge of FERPA will discuss the relationships among legal landscape, identity management, and federations. The session will also explore the impact of the proposed changes to FERPA and various issues related to federation such as whose privacy laws apply when federating outside the United States.
