Empowering a Culture of Learning and Innovation in Graduate Students

Tuesday, June 02, 2009 | 11:45AM–12:30PM | International B/C (6th Floor)
Session Type: Professional Development
Emory's Center for Interactive Teaching (ECIT) successfully completed the first session of Technology, Pedagogy, and Curriculum (TPC), a multiyear initiative. As part of TPC, graduate students who are about to teach learn how to effectively use technologies such as wikis, blogs, digital audio and video, and iTunes in their own teaching. All attendees indicated that the workshop was extremely valuable to their teaching. Feedback also pointed to some improvements to the sessions that could better prepare graduate student teachers. Assessment results and changes to the initiative will be presented.
