By selecting an open-source learning management system to replace a proprietary system, LSU has been able to increase staff and customize its selected LMS to better meet the needs of the university while staying within the original financial footprint of the previous proprietary LMS. Hiring full-time developers dedicated to our learning management system has afforded us the opportunity to keep up with the ever-changing needs of our community and keep our open-source LMS at the forefront of the learning management landscape.
