Wednesday, February 25 | 3:45PM–4:30PM | Hidalgo Ballroom A
Session Type: Professional Development
Information and communications technologies are increasingly enablers for a safe and secure campus and are proven to be critical during times of crisis. As institutions develop comprehensive emergency management plans to prepare for man-made events and natural disasters, they recognize the criticality of a robust IT and communications infrastructure in order to maximize the protection of the human, physical, and cyberassets of the institution. This session will feature a panel of diverse campus stakeholders who will describe recent experiences with devastating hurricanes and lessons learned for the perceived role of IT before, during, and after the crisis.
