Personnel Succession Planning: What Is It, and Why Should I Care?

Tuesday, March 16 | 12:45PM–1:30PM | Seville West/First Floor
Session Type: Professional Development
What happens when a staff member leaves a position? Are there backup plans to carry out key operations? While preparations for "planned" vacancies are common, covering operations due to sudden leaves are also needed. Personnel succession planning is used to prepare for carrying out operations until replacement personnel are in place. This presentation will cover the various types of sudden vacancies that can occur and how to best prepare for them. Attendees can then consider their own operations and plan accordingly.
