Tuesday, March 15, 2011 | 10:30AM–11:15AM | Camelot/Third Floor
Session Type:
Professional Development
How can institutions create an environment in which students, faculty, and staff are willing to contribute their ideas for the future of IT? Can we go beyond surveys and meetings to create an online environment that provides opportunities for ongoing interaction? Miami University is using crowdsourcing as an additional means of collaboration in its campus IT strategic planning initiative. This session will provide background on crowdsourcing, describe its use at Miami, and briefly review some of the vendors in this space. Attendees are encouraged to contribute to the discussion by bringing their innovative ideas on this topic to the session.
