Google Apps for Education: The USF Story, from Integration to Implementation

This presentation will tell the story of how we integrated our Google Apps for Education suite into our campus portal at USF, making it available to all university constituents. We will examine the approach taken in implementing this technology and issues we addressed from the viewpoints of a member of the IT department and of an educator. We will demonstrate and explain the implementation of Google Sites within the portal by showing how students in a new e-learning course build the content of a website through research, analysis, and synthesis. The resulting website is available to other students, alumni, and the public.
