Mobile! How UVU Launched Its Mobile Web Initiative

Change is in the air—literally. While web use has traditionally has been on desktop computers, mobile device usage is growing exponentially, and some studies predict it will pass traditional web traffic by 2015. Higher education is also seeing rapid growth, and the new generation of students arriving at institutions is digitally literate, connected, and social, with expectations for immediacy in communications. In response to this change Utah Valley University has moved forward with a mobile web initiative to better serve students. Come learn how we did it, including what tools we used, the questions we asked, and the decisions we made to meet the needs of our mobile users.
