Social Media Roundtable

Monday, March 14, 2011 | 12:45PM–1:45PM | Seville East/First Floor
Session Type: Professional Development
Join our discussion as we focus on harnessing the power of social media and look to participants to share their experiences. We will explore the implications of the integration of social media throughout higher education for various purposes (e.g., teaching, recruiting, advising, and more). Social media, for our purposes, is defined as media that is used to build social networks and connections for sharing information through a mediated channel. Examples of social media include Twitter, Facebook, Second Life, LinkedIn, YouTube, Flickr, and more.
