Updating the Value Proposition: Using Services to Define Your IT Organization

Monday, March 14 | 3:30PM–4:15PM | Camelot/Third Floor
Session Type: Professional Development
The recent budget crisis has led many organizations to reevaluate what they do and how they do it. Being able to articulate the value of your IT organization to all campus constituents is essential. This presentation will identify how conducting a services inventory is a critical first step for creating an understanding of what services you are providing, who your customers are, and how much these services cost; identifying, explaining, and justifying efforts and funding needs; improving strategic planning and decision making; and identifying opportunities that will help the organization endure (and perhaps even thrive in) the current economic environment.
