Campus Portal and E-Mail in the Cloud

Augusta State University recently replaced its in-house SunGard Luminis portal with myCampus from CampusEAI and its in-house e-mail system with the Microsoft Live@edu. Both are cloud-based systems that were rolled out on the same day. This session will give details of the planning, infrastructure changes, challenges, and lessons learned from this very ambitious project. Augusta State tied these systems together with their local Microsoft Active Directory using Microsoft Forefront Identity Manager 2010. A combination of local staff, Microsoft services, and CampusEAI developers completed this project over an eight-month period.
