Faculty Development Programs: Types, Faculty Motivation, and Results

Through a collaborative effort between the Center for Teaching Excellence and Teaching and Technology Services, faculty development programs (FDPs) were implemented to improve teaching and learning. FDPs included monetary grants, technology grants, and a community of practice. The presenters will describe the FDPs, explain why faculty and instructors chose to be involved in the FDPs, and discuss what changes they made in their courses or teaching methods as a result of their participation in the FDP.
