Session Type:
Professional Development
Over the past several years we have seen an incredible expansion in the tools available for distance collaboration. A huge array of standards, operating systems, and protocols is now available to even the most casual user of technology. We will explore the tools available for online collaboration in an educational environment and overview the technologies that allow life-sized HD videoconferencing as well as the new 4G mobile devices that provide cameras and connectivity software. Most importantly, we will discuss the ways that they relate to each other and the common misconceptions about their interoperability.
