Technology is a central component in university learning. Millennial students use technology in all facets of their lives. To blend entertainment with education, educators can use social networking sites to enhance educational experiences. Social networking platforms offer personal interaction and connectedness for students beyond traditional technologies, such as Blackboard. Group pages can be easily created and monitored for use among university educators. After experiencing the application of social networking platforms in a university setting, educators can develop their own uses for social networking to deepen student learning and understanding.
