Transition to Sakai: A Case Study by Wake Forest University

Wake Forest University has recently implemented the Sakai Collaboration and Learning Environment, an open-source learning management system. This session will focus on the implementation process, including needs analysis, pilot deployment, and training. We will review the process of transitioning from one learning management system to another, including influential factors in our decision to move from a proprietary product to an open-source product. Additionally, we will present how we expect to support Sakai in the both the short and long term.
