A Model for Faculty Training and Development Life Cycle

This session will present a model of faculty training and development in information technology implemented at St. Mary's University. The model included holding a week-long summer faculty institute on learning technology, integrating learning technology into a current course by each participant assisted by the FIT Center and the AMC assistants, convening a fall faculty conference on teaching with technology, and offering a spring faculty showcase presentation series. The panel will cover the development of the model, as well as planning, funding, promotion, and assessment of each component of the model, from the perspectives of program organizers, presenters, and participants.
