Accreditation plays a significant role in building public confidence in the educational enterprise, maintaining standards, enhancing institutional effectiveness, and improving higher education by establishing a common set of requirements for accredited institutions. Information technology facilitates this time-consuming and lengthy process, which involves many areas of the institution. This presentation will bring together a panel of experts representing various roles and institutions to discuss accreditation and the importance of information technology in the process, from off-site review to on-site review to ongoing assessment and beyond.
