I'm Gone: You're Next

Wednesday, February 23, 2011 | 9:30AM–10:15AM | Meeting Room 400
Session Type: Professional Development, WSWRC11
As a leader in any organization, you have a duty to prepare your staff for future responsibility. This includes mentoring of not only those who show great potential but also those who are not quite up to par. Leaders have a requirement to prepare not only for when they leave but also for when someone else within their organization leaves. Too many times we are content with letting leaders and managers leave without a succession plan. Too many times we put someone in the "interim" position but haven't provided any real preparation. This basic presentation will present general theories and one actual succession plan.
