Leadership in a Different Key - Sponsored by Oracle, An EDUCAUSE Gold Partner

Tuesday, February 22, 2011 | 2:00PM–3:15PM | Governor's Ballroom Salons AB
Session Type: Professional Development, WSWRC11
Strong leadership is not a timeless, abstract set of qualities but rather an evolving set of skills, cognitive strategies, and learned perspectives that are deeply rooted in the contemporary environment. An understanding of this environment—in this instance higher education—and the ability to extrapolate implications and consequences are requisite for a new generation of leaders and developing leaders at every level in their organizations. This presentation will focus on the definition of leadership and look at ways to explore, foster, and impart the skills needed to be a leader in our community.
