The University of Wisconsin–La Crosse initiated an external peer review of information technology on its campus to measure the present and map the future of IT services for the university and campus stakeholder groups. The peer review examined the state of technology at the university including IT services and functions, human resources, budget and financial support, organizational structure, and the IT governance process. This session will discuss the peer review process and how it was used to learn about the strengths and opportunities for the IT organization and establish best practices to enhance the delivery of IT services at the university.
