Educating Your College Community: Cybersecurity Awareness

Tuesday, March 27 | 2:30PM–3:30PM | St. Gallen, 2nd Floor
Session Type: Professional Development
As mobile technology becomes more personalized, security risks become a greater threat. Users must begin to understand that they are the greatest technology security risks. Social engineering, malware, and phishing are at the forefront of our cybersecurity challenges, and everyone is an active participant in protecting their technology from cyberattacks. In October 2011, Jackson Community College, a NCSAM champion, hosted Cyber Security Awareness Month. This session will demonstrate how JCC promoted cybersecurity awareness using the Stop-Think-Connect campaign. Attendees will learn about NCSAM and how they can get their college community involved.
