Experience IT: Evaluating Accessibility in Four Easy Steps
Tuesday, March 27, 2012 | 9:30AM–10:15AM | Zurich E
Session Type:
Professional Development
The Experience IT format offers a hands-on, highly interactive introduction to newer tools and technologies so you can explore their potential impact in the workplace and classroom and on your professional development. Please bring your laptop or other session-specific technology (such as smartphone or tablet) to the session so you can engage with the presenter. Seating will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. What does your web page say if a visitor can't see it? Can they navigate your site if they don't have a mouse? Do you ever wonder if your web page is accessible? Join us for an informative and fun presentation on evaluating any web page in four easy steps. Once you've participated in this presentation, you'll be able to judge quickly if your site (or anyone else's) uses Universal Design and is user friendly for all audiences. Bring your laptop so you can add the handy resources we have for you and follow along as we uncover obstacles that you probably didn't know were there.
