Experience IT: Mobile Connections: QR Codes for Higher Ed

The Experience IT format offers a hands-on, highly interactive introduction to newer tools and technologies so you can explore their potential impact in the workplace and classroom and on your professional development. Bring your laptop, smartphone, or tablet to the session so you can participate with the group. Please install the free QR Reader (iOS) or QR Droid (Android) on your smartphone or tablet before the session begins, if possible. Seating will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. In this session you will learn what QR codes are, how they work, and how to make them. We will also discuss key problems with the technology and guidelines for effectively using QR codes in a variety of applications that support university communities through the enhancement of teaching and learning and the extension of student engagement.
