Learning to Think with Our Eyes: An Examination of Visual Thinking

Tuesday, March 27 | 12:45PM–1:30PM | Zurich A
Session Type: Professional Development
Our brains are designed to perceive and process images. Visuals enable us to represent complex problems and summarize large amounts of data in an easy-to-understand format. While visualization of data is not a new concept, many courses continue to concentrate on text-based resources. This presentation will investigate ways to use digital tools to capitalize on the brain's ability to comprehend visual information. Attendees will learn how to use images to communicate information, interact with course content, and simplify complex data, as well as archive class discussions for later recall. No artistic ability is needed!
