The Flexible, Wireless, Interactive Classroom

Tuesday, March 27, 2012 | 10:30AM–11:15AM | Zurich A
Session Type: MWRC12

Gustavus Adolphus College just launched a new social science center. Our goal was to enable faculty to teach from anywhere in the classroom and encourage interactivity and class participation through the innovative use of technology. All classrooms allow instructors to teach from a laptop without any wires. Several classrooms have multiple interactive whiteboards to allow classes to engage in small-group collaboration. We have also deployed a HD lecture capture system that doesn't require a computer in the classroom. In this session we'll demonstrate the technology in action, discuss how it's being used by faculty, and share lessons learned.
