Update on Higher Education IT Law, Policy, and Compliance

Tuesday, March 27 | 10:30AM–11:15AM | Zurich F
Session Type: Professional Development
The Internet continues to give rise to some perplexing legal and policy challenges, often the subject of debate, legislation, and regulation by international organizations and federal and state policymakers. Institutions of higher education also have compelling needs to develop campus IT policies or compliance programs to address local needs and respond to an increasingly complex regulatory environment. This session will provide an update from the EDUCAUSE Policy team on timely and relevant policy issues in areas such as accessibility for persons with disabilities, e-learning, higher education accountability, intellectual property, networking and telecommunications, and privacy and security.
