As the world is filled with technology, communications, and information, many learners question the relevance and authenticity of what they are challenged to learn. For faculty, there is often the question of where to find teaching resources that are relevant and engaging for their students. Social media can be used as a strategy to help make curriculum relevant to the teaching and learning environment. This a yearlong study, we will show how social media can be used to bring politically charged environments into the classroom and to graphically see how information is disseminated through the news and social media.
