3D flat screen display and glasses provided by Panasonic Solutions Company

Wednesday, February 22 | 5:45PM–6:30PM | Galleria North, Ballroom Level
Session Type: Professional Development
The Experience IT format offers a hands-on, highly interactive introduction to newer tools and technologies so you can explore their potential impact in the workplace and classroom and on your professional development. Please bring your laptop or other session-specific technology (such as smartphone or tablet) to the session so you can engage with the presenter. Seating will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Librarians at Texas Tech University recently conducted demo/survey sessions to gauge faculty, staff, and students' perceptions of the viability and potential benefits of stereoscopic 3D content in university classrooms or libraries. This session will offer a similar demo, including various examples of educational 3D video and digital photos displayed on a 3D TV and will also provide an opportunity for hands-on experience with a 3D digital camera. Background information on the technology will also be covered, along with an overview of hardware and content options.
