Leveraging Existing Resources to Create a Technology Training Center

Wednesday, January 16 | 5:45PM–6:30PM | Harborside Ballroom E
Session Type: Professional Development
Loyola University Maryland created a Technology Training Center to provide training in software and other technological tools to faculty and administrative staff. The center was created in a matter of months, almost exclusively using existing resources. Attendees will learn how we evolved from a one-person staff, providing mostly individual training, to working with project management to identify training needs during early stages of projects, allowing time for the development of highly customized training packages. We will share obstacles faced and how to create a training framework that can be used for any new technology for which training is needed.
