"Mary Isn't Contributing to the Coffee Fund!": Strategies for Managing Staff in a Rapidly Changing Environment

Higher education today is a rapidly changing, complex environment faced with constantly increasing expectations for flexibility, accountability, creativity, and teamwork. This presentation will focus on the staff management challenges that arise in an environment of this kind and provide a variety of concrete strategies for helping your staff not only survive change but thrive in a changing environment and produce outstanding results. Participants will reflect on and share their own staff management challenges, learn additional strategies from group discussion, and develop an action plan for taking selected strategies back for immediate, mid-term, and long-term implementation at their institutions.
