The Next Generation of Mobile Computing Arrives at Seton Hall

Thursday, January 17 | 10:30AM–11:15AM | Harborside Ballroom D
Session Type: Professional Development

Seton Hall University has been a ubiquitous computing campus for over a decade, but recent changes in hardware are challenging models of 1:1 mobile computing. As a result Seton Hall's mobile computing program has been redesigned to address the needs of its learning community. Nokia Lumia 900 smartphones were distributed to incoming students, and, depending on their major, Samsung Slate or Ultrabooks running Windows 8. This session will provide a brief overview of our mobile computing program, discuss its current implementation, and present the results of student satisfaction and use surveys conducted at the end of the fall semester.

Presenters

  • Mike Soupios

Director of Digital Media and Web Development, Seton Hall University
  • Riad Twal
