Lessons Learned: The Least Favorite Part of Projects

Tuesday, March 19, 2013 | 2:30PM–3:30PM | St. Gallen, 2nd Floor
Session Type: Professional Development

Continuous improvement and data-driven decision making are important parts of IT in higher education. Lessons learned after a project can play a key role in gathering that data and finding ways to improve project management and execution on any campus. However, lessons learned sessions sometimes just go through the motions or are ignored at the end of the project. Lessons learned can add value and be applied to upcoming projects to drive improved project management. CWRU's presentation will tell a story of a group of related projects and how project execution improved over each project iteration without sacrificing first time right.
