Security has become one of the most critical issues that academia faces. With the rapid proliferation of mobile devices, exponentially growing data, and IT's role in enabling students and faculty to use technology, vulnerabilities and risks are increasing. The bad guys could have an edge if you aren't bringing security into every decision. This session will discuss security threats, best practices, and policy management around areas like app security, phishing, mobility and BYOD, and social media. We will also discuss the cost benefits of how security improves operational efficiencies that lead to IT ultimately impacting the business value.
