Google Apps for Education: A Not-So-Simple Decision

Although many higher education institutions have moved to Google Apps for Education (GAE), Rice has not been as quick to act. The processes and decisions behind our approach to migrating our undergraduate student population to this cloud provider have set the groundwork for all subsequent cloud migration decisions. You are invited to learn about the decision processes and challenges we have faced and still face regarding our migration to GAE services since its inception in 2008 to our first implementation in 2012.
