NextGenU.org: The World's First Portal to Free, Accredited Higher Education

Wednesday, February 13, 2013 | 11:50AM–12:30PM
Session Type: Professional Development
NextGenU.org is the world's first portal to free, accredited higher education. We partner with leading universities, professional societies, and government organizations (including the U.S. CDC, World Bank, and the World Health Organization) to create high-quality training courses that are offered online, for free, without advertising. All courses are competency-based and include a global peer community of practice, along with local, skills-based mentorships. NextGenU.org's accredited partners give learners credit for this training. We launched our first full course in March 2012: our initial data show that NextGenU's training performs comparably to that of traditional American medical schooling.
