
Surviving and Thriving in the Teamwork Jungle
This session will focus on building teams in the higher education technology realm (though concepts apply to team development generally) and leading them effectively, including building consensus, empowerment, alignment, and accountability. The dimensions of managing teams, leading change, and the challenges of leadership at all levels will be covered. Examples from a university leadership development program established in part by the lead presenter and perspectives from team members will be included. Small group exercises to practice some of the concepts will be incorporated. With a flipped format, attendees are encouraged to examine preparatory content prior to the session.
